Google+ Hits 20 Million

Google keeps up with their pace of getting through all possible pockets of technology. They decided to enter the social media business by storm. Three weeks into its launch, Google+ hits 20 million by July 21st. This leap was just after one week when the CEO Larry Page publicly announced that they got 10 million unique visitors. Interesting how you get such figures in such a small amount of time.

First off, let’s admit that we are all fans of social networking sites. Who wouldn’t want to get updates from the prettiest girl in school posting that she’ll be moving over at your neighborhood or that hot jock from the block saying that he’s currently single. There are endless ways on enjoying these features online. But then of course, sometimes it get to the point wherein it couldn’t be more annoying than any other possible things you can think of. In regards to privacy matters, we give all the social networking sites a big thumbs down. Who would want to see their mom or their relatives posting or tagging them in a picture back in 1995, wherein you were blinded by such horrible fashion sense and was currently around 500pounds? Privacy is one thing that’s missing within these areas. Facebook, the current leader in the race between social media sites, in partnership with zynga launched a new game called Empires and Allies- a strategy games that allows you to build, conquer empires with just a click of the mouse. This game already exceeded Farmville and soon Cityville players making it the top most played game on facebook.  The Facebook Empires & Allies game allows you to build a prosperous island by arming themselves against hostile opponents by recruiting armies and allied forces. Google Plus – The Facebook Killer?

Facebook has been around since 2004 and since then it has come to conquer the world of social networking sites. Uniting more than seven hundred million people in one global network is a feat to boast for.  But just about every other company in existence is trying to trample Mark Zuckerberg’s beast, everyone dubs their own social networking site as a Facebook-killer but apparently they have all drowned in their own river of defeat. Google has promised us its own contender aptly called Google Plus and so far it has accumulated about twenty million users in its trial phase – or so Google says. The hall called for a Facebook-killer and Google Plus answered. Does it have what it takes to take down the beast or will it be sleeping with the fishes sooner than it expects?
